Hi Steve,
Here are 2 study abstracts published from the Durham trials (mentioned in the article above):
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17180869
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15867048

These Durham trials were not double-blind, but here are some that were and found enough significant benefit to warrant further research:

•	http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16777670
•	http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18158838
•	http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18448859
•	http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17629918
•	http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17435458
• http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17921387
• http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18514501

Hope that helps!

Compared to what? Many of the improvements noted here could be attributed to normal child development, unless the same improvements were not observed in a control group. Also, were the participants blind to the study? I can imagine many parents acting different toward their children because of the the placebo belief that fish oil would work, which of course would have dramatic improvements on parent-child relationships. I want to give my child fish oil, but would love to have more details of the original study (is it cited anywhere in this article?).

I started my 4 year old son on Fish Oil four days ago per his pediatrician's recommendation for behavior. I have noticed that his behavior has gotten worse than it was. Has anyone heard of it having the reverse effect on children?
