Fish Oil University

Have you heard of Google Scholar? According to Google, it “enables you to search specifically for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research.

Use Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web.” A search for fish oil yields 70,200 results!

Some of the research that really stood out to me was reports that fish oil lowers blood pressure, the use of fish oil to reduce colorectal and breast cancer risk and fish oil preventing insulin resistance. One that was of particular interest to me was a study that concluded that higher doses of fish oil were needed to produce clinical benefits than were previously studied — Exactly what Dr. Sears has been saying in his book, The Anti-Inflammation Zone!

Amazing stuff — you could be reading all of it for hours!
